The Old Windmill

The owners of this unusual home approached CGA Architects with the hope of extending the more modern extension to the side of the grade II listed windmill. The first floor of the extension had restricted headroom which made the bedrooms feel small. They were looking for a larger open plan living space at ground floor and additional bedroom at first floor. They were also hoping to make some changes to the main windmill and make use of the roof by creating a terrace.

CGA submitted a pre-application and then a householder planning and listed building consent which was granted.
